i-limb ultra

The i-limb ultra has five articulating fingers that move independently, bending at the natural joints to fit around the shape of whatever object is grasped. The i-limb ultra can gradually increase the strength of its grip, making it easier to handle heavier items like a bag of groceries.  This pulsing grip strength is variable and selectable per digit.

Grip patterns include an index point for typing, a precision pinch mode for holding small objects, three additional precision pinch modes, two thumb positions, and a natural hand position for walking or while at rest. Gesture selection allows users to create custom gestures.
   
The i-limb ultra is powered by biosim-i and biosim-pro software that communicates with the hand via a wireless Bluetooth connection.  Biosim allows many of the features and settings of the hand to be customized to fit the user’s daily activities.

An improved battery system extends the daily battery usage by up to 25 percent. There is also a low battery warning audio signal that alerts the user when power is diminishing.

The i-limb ultra comes in two low-profile sizes, regular and small.  Each hand includes a wrist assembly, two skin active coverings, one skin natural covering and a two-year standard warranty.
